New Student Registration

Your first contact with the school will usually be with the Coordinator, who will give you information and answer initial questions. Once you have decided you wish to enroll your child at the International School Maastricht, we ask you to follow the registration procedure below.

Registration fee

The registration fee is 150 Euro per child and is payable upon registration.

Please note that the registration fee is not refundable.

Intake Procedure

Once you have registered your child, an intake procedure will follow. All students entering at age 11 through to 16/17 are required to take intake tests in Maths, English and General Reasoning so that we can ensure that we place the student in the appropriate year group. Subject specific intake tests may apply for IB candidates. Therefore, we ask you to contact the school to arrange an appointment for your child to take the placement tests and attend an interview with the Admissions Officer, Esther Zeguers.

Placement tests are used to help decide whether our school is the most suitable place for your child and also which year group he/she should enter. Once the test results are ready, the Admissions Officer will contact you to inform you of the results and our decision. ISM does not have extensive Special Educational Needs provision. Should the placement tests indicate that the education we offer cannot meet the special needs of your child, we reserve the right to refuse him/her a place. Placement tests can usually be taken at any time of the school year or in the special session which is organized in the week prior to the start of the new school year.

Fees

School fees are € 6,300 per student. Further information can be obtained at your first contact meeting. Please note that, in addition to these school fees, parents are required to pay examination fees for students entering the IGCSE examinations (Form 5) and IB examninations (IB2).

Deposit

A deposit of 500 Euro is due on the day your child starts lessons. This will be refunded on departure, subject to all books having been returned in good order and all fees having been paid.
